For Today: January 31, 2025
Looking out my window...
it's cold and snowy
I am thinking...
about how we found out that one of Dan's tumors has grown. That's news we didn't want to hear after 5 months of extreme diet changes and alternative treatments, but he is going to start taking chemo pills in the next couple weeks. I am hoping and praying that it works well and kills that cancer!
I am hoping ...
that the side effects of the pills are minimal and that Dan continues to feel good.
I am thankful...
for the support of family and friends.
One of my favorite things...
is doing things with my kids. I went out for breakfast a couple weeks ago with Isaiah and it was so great to catch up with him. Sid and I get together often to do crafts or get coffee. Charles and Andi are coming over tonight to watch a movie. I check in with Christian once a week, but we need to do something fun soon, and Scott and Erin just invited us over to hang out next weekend.
I am creating...
a scrapbook of Dan and I, and I'm working on the Honeymoon photos now. I was joking with Dan that I finished the wedding scrapbook for our 2 year anniversary, maybe I'll have the honeymoon book completed by our 3 year! I also want to make one with photos from the different trips we've taken.
I am listening to...
That's Who I Praise by Brandon Lake over and over! It's the song we are using for the new dance at church.
I am wearing...
comfy blue pants, a black t-shirt and a blue zip up sweatshirt. That's been my work outfit lately.
I am reading...
People Pleaser by Jinger Dugger Vuolo. I follow the adult Dugger kids from the reality shows 19 Kids and Counting, and Counting On, so I read any books they write.
I am watching...
Severance. It's a mystery thriller series that my kids got me into.
I am learning...
a new dance! Actually Taylor from church and I are choreographing it together, then we will teach it to the other ladies.
In my kitchen...
I'm tired of cooking! But we've been having soups, salads and burgers or chicken. Pretty boring.
A Quote...
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
A moment from this past Christmas
