For Today: May 30, 2025
Looking out my window...
the sun is coming up and it's going to be a beautiful day in the 80's.
I am hoping...
to hear news that my grandson has been born. Erin's due date is tomorrow!
I am thinking...
about how God answers prayer. No matter how long I've been a Christian it never gets old! I prayed this week and God has given me creative work ideas, and he's given me peace when I was getting anxious.
I am thankful...
for family time. This month we celebrated Sid, Christian and Dan's birthdays, plus I hung out with my kids on Mother's Day.
is that our family has always been close. Here is a pic of my dad with Sid.
I am creating...
a clean and organized home for Dan and I.
I am listening to...
The Names by Florence Knapp, a novel about a woman's life in three parallel universes based on one major life choice she makes. I just finished an audio book called Caroline, Little House Revisited by Sarah Miller. The story is based on the first Little House on the Prairie book but it's an adult book told from the mother's perspective. It was well written, but the story was so close to the kid's version (which I read multiple times to my kids) that it wasn't that interesting for me.
I am wearing...
tan capris and a black short sleeve shirt.
I am reading...
Rescue Story, a Memoir by Zach Williams the Christian music artist. I just finished it, it was great!
I am watching...
The Simpsons with Dan in the evenings. I'd never seen that show before, and I generally don't like cartoons, but it's pretty good!
I am learning...
about autism, accidental injuries in children, hospice, and more in my continuing education that I'm required to do each year as an LNA.
In my kitchen...
I made pickled eggs for Dan, and I prepped two bags of seasoned chicken pieces for stir fry to put in the freezer. I am so excited to do better meal planning and prep. It's been a while since I have, and I'm getting tired of what we've been eating, plus it feels so good to be prepared for the week ahead.
A quote....
A moment from this week...
