For Today: March 12, 2025
Looking out my window...
the snow is melting. It was warm yesterday and Dan and I worked outside. We also enjoyed just sitting in the sun later in the afternoon.
I am hoping...
to get better routines established again. I'm a part of The Minimal Mom's group online. It's helps keep me accountable with decluttering, organizing and homemaking. It's fun because they have zoom meetings twice a day so I can jump on and get stuff done around the house and socialize with other women doing the same things.
I am thinking...
about Christian, and how he treated me to lunch yesterday at the PastAmore restaurant. It was fun and we had a great conversation. I'm proud of him because he is thinking about the future more, and he is also going to be taking his driving test soon!
I am thankful...
for my mom, it's her birthday this weekend and we are planning a family get together. I'm hoping that my brother's family can all come.
One of my favorite things...
is being a grandparent! Erin is due on Christian's birthday in May, we are so excited for this new little one!
I am creating...
a new diamond painting! It's of Van Gogh's Starry Night, and it's the largest one I've done so far.
I am listening to...
a worship song that I first heard this Sunday at Church. It's called "Who is Like the Lord" by Highlands Worship.
I am wearing...
a new sweater that's tan with white stripes and light blue jeans.
I am reading...
Atomic Habits by James Clear.
I am watching...
the Psych TV series in the evenings with Dan. We started it a while ago and watched most of the seasons. It's such a funny show! I'm also watching Severance once a week along with the kids. Sid is even having a party for the season finale with our family and a friend from work. She's so into it!
I am learning...
to enjoy life each day, even through Dan's cancer treatments, knowing that God has us in his hands.
In my kitchen...
I'm making sourdough bread once a week now. I always marvel at what a good feeling I get when I make homemade bread!
A quote...
A moment from this week...
actually a picture of my boys taken years ago:
